Aqua Art Miami art show art event

Aqua Art Miami – Time to Rock the Art AND the Miami Lifestyle!

Aqua Art Miami is more than just an event – it’s an art experience that begins in the classic South Beach Hotel in the heart of Miami Dec 6-9.

Aqua has celebrated over 10 years of their successful boutique-like art fair.

Aqua Art Miami is an art event that originally started out as “just” an art fair that transformed the Aqua Hotel in Miami into a gigantic art-filled exhibit spilling through the first and second floors, as well as into the courtyard, where they serve their famous cocktails. A few years ago, Aqua was bought by Art Miami and thus, “Aqua Art Miami” was born.

Today, Aqua is the perfect art experience – the perfect place for young artists, emerging artists, and mid-career artists to get their work recognized, while also reveling in their mutual passion for art and exchanging techniques and ideas.

These artists are not just Miami artists but come from all over the US.  A majority do happen to be from the Big Apple – NYC – and local galleries from South Florida. Yet, Aqua not only gives artists the opportunity to showcase their work, but also provides the attending collectors, curators, and art lovers the opportunity to relish in the enjoyment of that work, together, in a festival-style environment. As such, Aqua Art Miami has earned a strong, satisfying and captivating reputation.

The event kicks off with a VIP Preview, then opens up to the public for the three days that follow. Hosts go above-and-beyond to welcome their artists and guests, even offering shuttles to and from the hosting Aqua Hotel.

Aqua accommodates their large crowds for this Miami art show by setting up around 50 booths in such a way that a nice, smooth, quick tour is possible. The artwork is strategically placed around the hotel so that it best compliments the atmosphere and provides an intoxicating visual experience for both the artists and the visitors.

Yet, while Aqua is undoubtedly an art-based event, there are still plenty of options for leisure—adding to the richness of this Miami art celebration.

For example, Aqua Art offers a daily 2-for-1 drink special during happy hour. These drinks can be enjoyed while taking in another common highlight of Aqua—a “live” exhibit such as a painting or sculpture – that serves to further “wow” the guests and command their attention.

Aside from those features offered by the event itself, keep in mind that you are in Miami—the “other city that never sleeps.”

South Beach is an experience in and of itself. During daylight hours, you have the fantastic beachy scene for some sandy fun. Duck Tours in Miami could also be a great way to explore the new scenery. This tour escorts you through Miami’s top destinations such as South Beach, the Art Deco district, Fisher Island, Millionaire’s Row, and more! Miami also offers hop-on-hop-off bus tours. This hop-on-hop-off feature gives you the option to stay on for the entire ride or you can hop-off at landmarks and other places that intrigue your interest. Some of these places could include Perez and Frost Museums, Bass Museum, The Riviera, Lummus Park, and/or The Wolfsonian. Don’t forget about the great places to shop-until-you-drop in Miami as well!

All-in-all, art show aficionados and art lovers far and wide – as well as the artists themselves – would likely say you can’t go wrong with Aqua.

Previous attendees rave about Aqua among friends, in the media and on social platforms. If you’re looking for an enticing art experience in Miami, look no further than Aqua Art Miami!
